The Man on the Corner

The man on the corner
always gave me a smile,
but I only saw him
every once in a while.

The man on the corner
quoted a scripture to me,
I didn't know it at the time
it was Phillippians 4:19.

The man on the corner
was always on my mind,
I saw God in his face
each and every time.

The man on the corner
was sent from above,
to teach me things
like patience and love.

The man on the corner
touched my heart and soul,
he has taught me more
than he will ever know.

"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
