Secret Santa Day 4...

Christmas in Boerne 2009

Mom always has a beautiful tree! She puts so much time and effort into it! Kris and I decided to come to Boerne for a couple of days before Christmas so we could see them and so the boys can see Honey and Grand-dad! They also love playing with the train!!!

Oh George...

I think I love you!!!

Secret Santa Day 2...

Well tonight was fun! As soon as we heard the doorbell ring Ty and I ran downstairs as fast as we could! Ty was screaming, "HURRY, HURRY we have to get it!" This was our surprise tonight! Thanks to our "secret friend" for really getting us into the Spirit of the holidays!!!

Star Wars, Snowflakes and Swords

Yesterday was busy! Ty played with his "ninja" swords, we made snowflakes to cover a gift and he went around taking pictures of his Star Wars characters! All in about 1 hour!!!

Secret Santa Day 1...

Last night we heard 3 fast rings from our door bell. Kris went to the door and a bag was hanging on the door handle. In it was this angel. The note said that it was from a "secret friend" and that we would be getting more surprises! Ty has been so excited about trying to figure out who it is. It is such a cute idea!!!

For the Love of Mod

While in Boerne over Thanksgiving, Mom, Amy and I did a bit of shopping. We went into a little antique shop in downtown Boerne and as soon as I saw this china I knew it had to be mine. The peacock blue, gold and black mod pattern was totally calling my name. I love that the set has several unique pieces. I also like that the set was not complete so I will be able to "hunt" for other matching pieces. The china is marked Thomas, Germany.

Doing something with Santa!?

Ty in the pool house posing!

Ty and his cousin Emma had so much fun yesterday playing together. Ty and Tucker love their cousins Emma and Gracie so much. Yesterday, Ty and Emma walked around taking pictures and of course Ty was being silly while he was "posing." Emma, we love you and are so glad we got to see you!

Christmas time is here

All of these ornaments are for our "fun" tree that usually goes in the playroom. A lot of the ornaments have been homemade by Ty over the years!

My Santa collection!

I love this time of year! The boys and I spent the day yesterday listening to Christmas music, putting up the tree, and talking about why we celebrate Christmas.

I did not get a great shot of the whole tree so I will post another picture soon. We usually buy a real tree and we did do that this year. I had actually purchased two trees, one for the living room and one for the upstairs playroom. The trees smell were so strong that my allergies started going nuts!!! I ended up taking them down and buying a fake pre-lit tree. That is the way to go. It was so easy to not have to put the lights on. Of course, Ty reminded me that having a fake tree is so much better for the environment because we are re-using the same tree each year. I guess he does have a good point. HA! Hope your family enjoys putting up your holiday decorations!
