Yea Tar-jay

I must admit I am a HUGE fan of Target. It seems like they only keep getting better and better with each passing year. Case in point, this morning while I was getting dressed I thought I would love to have a pair of simple, brown flats that I could wear throughout the fall. Well, low and behold when I went into Target today I spied these little cuties just sitting there waiting for me. I tried them on and they were so comfortable. The best part ladies, they were only $19.99. And, I will admit they look a lot like a pair I had seen in the Nordstrom catalog that were quadruple the price! How's that for a Fabulous deal! Now, go get yourself a pair or maybe something different. They have a whole handful of cute shoes and boots with your name on them!

Please, get on your knees and pray for Kate

~Picture of Kate from here~

I posted back in July about this family and their daughter Kate who has a brain tumor. She has been undergoing chemo and she has an MRI on Wednesday to see what is going on with the tumor now! Her family is asking for prayers and fasting now through Wednesday. I am going to attach several links for you to look at if you would like to learn more about Kate and her situation. Please, pray for her right now! Listed below are the specific prayer requests that her family is asking for.

-that the MRI will reveal that the tumor is shrinking or even gone completely

-that Kate’s stomach pains will go away

-that there will be no harmful effects from any of this treatment on Kate

-that God would be glorified and many come to know Christ through this

Psalm 107:19-21

19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.

20 He sent forth his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave.

21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.

This afternoon...

I arrived home with my two precious boys. We did homework and bathed before doing anything else. Then, I decided to start making dinner which was delicious chicken spaghetti! I was gracefully chopping my onion when I decided to do this to my thumb...

I hollered at Ty to go get me a band-aid. Of course, he comes back with the smallest Sponge Bob band-aid I had ever seen. I could not get my finger to stop bleeding so I kept getting new paper towels to hold on it. While I was holding the paper towel I continued to keep cooking.

After putting everything together. This is what I had. Next, was to put the chicken in...

and man did I have a lot of chicken. It was interesting cutting all of that with a bum thumb! In the meantime I had this cute little one at my feet wanting me to hold him. How can I resist that smile.

After we ate we sat around the dinner table and just talked about our day together. Man, do I love these two little boy's. They are so precious to me! I would go through anything for them.

Thank goodness a had a lot of this to get me through the late afternoon/early evening! Have any of you ever had a day like this when you get home? I would do it all over again to have this time with my boy's and Kris. I am trying to cook more so we can spend time together as a family at dinner! I had this time when I was younger and I think it is so important! I hope my boy's will remember this when they have families of their own.

About time...

I organized my spice drawer! I am so excited to have this done. It totally makes me want to cook every night this week!!! That would be a first! Ha! I picked up the spice jars at World Market, $3.99 for a pack of 4. That's a good deal if you ask me. The lids twist to make a large opening or an opening of 3 small holes. I also got the labels there and they were $2.99. All of the extra spices that I have, I put in the back of the drawer that way I can refill when needed! Being an organizer, I really think that having an organized spice drawer is a must. It makes cooking so much easier and fun!!! Here's to hoping that it will make it more fun for me!!!
