Tucker has arrived!

I am finally getting some pictures put up of our new little addition. He is precious and looks just like his older brother. We are all doing great and getting use to being 4 instead of 3. Tucker was born on November 3o. He weighed 7 lbs. and was 201/2 inches long. I will hopefully be adding more pictures soon!

It's beginning to look a lot like....

Last night Kris, Ty and I put up Ty's Christmas tree. Usually, we put his little tree upstairs in the family room and put a real tree downstairs in the living room. However, because Tucker is about to arrive, we decided to not put up a real tree and most of our other decorations. We are thinking this will hopefully make our lives a little bit easier. We had so much fun and Ty was quite excited!

Thanksgiving!

This year at Ty's school his class went to HEB to pick up food for the community for Thanksgiving! He had a great time going on a field trip and learning about giving to others!

Halloween at Honey and Grandad's!

Every year for Halloween my parents have a hay ride in their neighborhood! My dad drives around on his tractor and picks up all of the kids and takes them by each house to Trick-or-Treat! Ty loves going and this year was so much fun!

Halloween at School!

Ok, these pictures are quite late but I wanted to post them because they are so cute. And I should have put them up in October! Enjoy!

Just a Little Bit Sad

I have been thinking about how much I have been missing my sewing room. I would lock myself away hours at a time to sew and be "one" with all of my fabric and everything I loved. My sewing room has now been converted into Tucker's nursery. I am very excited about the nursery but I have been mourning the loss of my sewing room. I have moved all things fabric into the guest room and it will work for now. I will post pictures soon of the nursery so you can see Tucker's new room! By the way, the quilt hanging on the wall is one of the first quilts I ever made. I love it!

Storm Trooper

Ty was a Strom Trooper for Halloween this year. He had a blast at our church Care Group Halloween party!

My Baby Shower for Tucker!

My beautiful friends hosted a baby shower for me a couple of weekends ago. Kim hosted the shower at her house and everything was so pretty! I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family. My mom and sister were there along with my mother-in-law. Quite a few of my other friends were able to make it also. I received so many nice things for Tucker. I don't think I need anything else. We are set and ready for him to get here!

Sweet Berry Farms Field Trip!

Ty's class went to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls for a field trip this past Tuesday. He was so excited to go to the pumpkin patch and go through the corn maze. He said that they had a great time and was full of stories when I picked him up. I will hopefully be adding more pictures soon.

Freeze, Police!

Ty's Halloween costume came in the mail last week. He was so excited because last Friday he got to wear his costume to school because it just happened to be community helper week and all of the kids got to dress up like a community helper. Worked out well that he was going to be a policeman for Halloween. He was a little concerned that his costume was not going to be delivered in time, but it was. He was a happy camper!

My Color!

You Are Cameo

You are understanding and very empathetic.
You don't tend to have acquaintances. Everyone is your friend.
And all of your friends tend to be friends. You have a knack for bringing very different people together.

Ding Dong's

O.K. I LOVE Hostess Ding Dong's! They are my absolute favorite dessert! They are chocolate on the outside and have a creamy inside. I have always loved them and used to eat like 10 at once with a huge glass of milk. Obviously, I can't do that anymore. Oh, how I wish I could!

I read today that the Hostess Ding Dong had celebrated forty years in March of this year! I thought I would give them a Shout Out. If you have never had a Ding Dong you must go out and buy a box tomorrow. They are individually wrapped and sooo yummy! Great for a little snack right before bed with a glass of cold milk!

Giddy Up Little Buddy!

Ty went to Boerne this weekend to hang out with Honey and Grand-dad. He has always liked being around the horses but has just recently started riding on his own. He has been riding my old show horse Glow. Glow is so sweet with him and they have the best time together. This weekend they went on their first "trail ride" and had so much fun. He talked about it the whole way home after we picked him up on Sunday evening. It is so neat to see him riding my old horse and having so much fun. I can't wait for him to be in his first horse show!!!

Learning to Play Together!

Ty had a soccer game on Saturday. He is the one in the front on the left. Him and another little boy named Hunter are both used to being the stars of their team. There has been a lot of elbowing and pushing trying to get to the ball and they are now having to learn to play on the same team and share the ball with each other and their teammates. Growing up and learning these things is so hard for little 5 year olds!

What's Cooking this Week!

Monday - Chicken Divine, Carrots, Salad

Tuesday - Brisket, Baked Beans and Garlic Roasted New Potatoes

Wednesday - Brisket Sandwiches, Corn on the Cob

Thursday - Tacos, Black Beans and Chips and Queso

Friday - Baked Penne Pasta, Salad, Applesauce

Whats been Cooking!

I have decided to follow in Kim's footsteps and post what I have been cooking lately. As many of you know, cooking is not high on my "what I love" list. I have never really enjoyed it and so I never have really cooked much. I have been inspired by many of my friends and my sister Amy. Amy loves to cook and always has great ideas and recipes. I sat down yesterday to make my menu for the week and my grocery list. I picked several recipes from the recipe blog so that made things easier. I saw Kim at the grocery and I told her how amazed I was about how empty my basket seemed since I was shopping off of a list. I am very proud of myself for cooking the past two nights in a row. I have challenged myself to start cooking more for me Kris and Ty. It is also so nice to be able to sit down and eat as a family and be able to visit with Ty about his day.

So, with all of that said here is what's cooking this week!

Monday - Rotisserie Chicken, Rice, Spinach Salad, applesauce and watermelon
(This meal was very easy because the chicken was already cooked.)

Tuesday - Fettucine Alfredo, Garlic Bread and applesauce.
( I have been serving applesauce with every meal because it is so easy and Ty and Kris love it. Recipe can be found here.)

Wednesday - Chicken and Dumplings with peas, Salad and Strawberries
(Recipe can be found here.)

Thursday - Homemade Sloppy Joes, Zesty Fries, and applesauce

Friday - Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Fruit Salad
(Recipe can be found here)

Fall Soccer Begins!

Ty started fall soccer last week! This was his first practice and he was so excited. His team are the tigers!

Ty's Five!

Ty celebrated his fifth birthday today! He opened up his presents before school and had his cupcake before he got out of bed. It was a GREAT day!

The "Night Before" Tradition!

I can't believe our "little sweetie" is turning five tomorrow. We have started a tradition that the night before his birthday we make cupcakes together. He gets to have one before bed and then one first thing in the morning before he gets out of bed the day of his b-day. We really had a good time tonight making the cupcakes and Ty made the biggest mess. Oh well, it was all worth it to see that smile on his face! Happy 5th Birthday Ty!
